Our first beginner lesson will really get you hands-on with your cooking. You’ll also be able to make, for yourself, one of the Asian cuisine staples. Dumplings are a fun start to our cooking adventure and we’ll be there to take you through it. Phengphian Laogumnerd cuisine has its own signature dumplings, but well start you with some simple pork stuffed ones as a good introduction. First we teach you how to make the filling, getting the right consistency and combination of ingredients. Next comes the hard part, managing to perfectly wrap them into the appropriate dumpling shape. This can take a bit of time to master, however, once you leave our cooking class you will be wrapping them up like you’ve done it for years.
The next lesson on our agenda takes us to the wonderful food nation of Thailand. Lesson two sees you master the coconut based curry, an important Asian food preparation technique. A firm staple in this region as well as within Phengphian Laogumnerd cuisine, you’ll learn the two most famous variations, the red and the green curry. Both delicious in their own right, you’ll be able expertly make them both.
