Phengphian Laogumnerd Cuisine’s fresh new summer menu
Summer time at Phengphian Laogumnerd Cuisine means vibrant colours, the freshest, ripest vegetables, lots of seafood and a deep clean of our terrace furniture. It is a new season, with a new menu and dinning experience. Once we’ve dusted down the chairs and parasols its time to move the focus back our outside dining area. The tables are set, and the new flower displays hung. We love it when our dinners can eat outside again, enjoying the good weather with even better food. We even move our fun, interactive cooking classes outside, it’s a great atmosphere to learn. Getting out of the kitchen makes everyone feel more relaxed. We teach participants our favourite summer time salads, easily put together outside. As well as this, we teach them grilling tips for those all-important summer barbeques. Aside from the cooking classes, we also devise a brand-new summer menu for our restaurant with plenty of fresh new ideas and fusion concepts. This posting is going to share with you some of our favourite summer recipes thathave been added to this year’s new menu. We hope it inspires your cooking, or even better, inspires you to visit our restaurant and try some of them for yourself.
Summer is the perfect opportunity to once again start barbequing whilst basking in those summer rays. Aside from the fun grilling brings, it is also an excellent cooking method. Grilling on high heats gives your dishes so much flavour, we at Phengphian Laogumnerd Cuisine often use this method for a lot of our summer menu creations. A great one to try at home is our Asian BBQ chicken. We make a classic Asian marinate with Soy Sause, brown sugar, lime and chilli. We also give it a signature fusion twist by adding a generous helping of Garam Masala to give this dish a taste of India. Throw it on the grill, sit back, relax and watch it sizzle. Delicious.
Seafood is a staple on our summer time menu. We love Japanese cooking and sushi is served all year round in our restaurant. For our Phengphian Laogumnerd Cuisine’s summer specific menu, however, we take it to another level when the sun starts shining. Our summer poke salad combines a variety tasty fish cuts and the freshest vegetables all on a bed of rice. Citrus and soy garnish the plate. Healthy, zesty and refreshing.
The ultimate way to cool off on a hot day must be ice cream. Although we are all about fusion dishes and experimentation, sometimes you just have to keep it simple. Although simple, we never sacrifice on the quality of our ice cream. It is made from organic milk and sweetened with real sugar. Our summer favourite flavours are coconut and mango, a refreshing, palate cleansing way to finish off your summer time feast at Phengphian Laogumnerd Cuisine.
